Who we are
Alloto is published by PortosLabs, the name under which Vladimir Strycek publishes apps as an individual developer. This policy covers the Alloto app for Android (com.portoslabs.alloto) and iPhone (com.portoslabs.alloto), and this website.
Questions about privacy go to [email protected].
What the app stores, and where
To work as a budget, Alloto stores what you enter:
- your monthly income and the envelopes (spending categories) you split it into,
- the purchases and notes you record against each envelope,
- scheduled bills,
- budget templates and your settings.
All of it is kept in a local database on your phone. PortosLabs never receives it. There is no PortosLabs server for Alloto, so there is nowhere for it to be sent.
What we collect
Nothing. The app makes no network requests. It contains no analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDK, and it does not use your device’s advertising ID. There are no accounts: no sign-in, no email address, no cloud sync.
Backups and exports you create
From Settings › Backup & restore you can export a full backup file (JSON), and from Reports you can export a spreadsheet. Both go through your phone’s share sheet, to a place you choose: your files, an email, a cloud drive. Restoring reads a backup file that you pick.
These files contain your financial data in readable form. Wherever you save or send them, that service’s own terms apply, and keeping them safe is up to you. PortosLabs does not receive a copy.
Your phone’s own backups
Android: if device backup is turned on, Android Auto Backup can include Alloto’s data in your Google account backup. This is controlled by your Android settings, and PortosLabs has no access to it.
iPhone: Alloto’s data is part of your iCloud or device backup, under the same terms: controlled by your settings, with no access for PortosLabs.
Notifications
Bill reminders are optional. They are scheduled locally on your phone, and the app asks for notification permission before using them. There is no push server.
Reminders can show up on your lock screen. If you’d rather they didn’t reveal anything, turn on Settings › Notifications › Hide financial details: reminders then use generic text, without bill names, amounts or due dates.
Permissions
Alloto asks for one permission: notifications, and only if you turn on bill reminders. It does not use your camera, photos, location, contacts or microphone.
App stores
Alloto is distributed through Google Play and through Apple’s App Store and TestFlight. These services process install, crash and usage data under their own privacy policies: Google and Apple. PortosLabs uses no other service providers for Alloto.
This website
Everything above is about the app. This website is separate, and it does count visits.
alloto.app uses Umami, a cookieless analytics tool that PortosLabs runs on its own server (logbiter.com). It records which pages are viewed, the referring site, and your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and approximate country. It sets no cookies, and the data isn’t shared with or sold to anyone. Your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting is not used to switch it off.
Fonts and images are served from this site itself. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles the technical data any web request involves, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Children
Alloto is meant for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13.
Your data, your control
Because PortosLabs holds no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to look up, correct, export or delete on your behalf. You can do all of that yourself on your phone. To remove everything, see Deleting your data.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Alloto changes what happens to your data, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
